cool. I thought about your idea with some of the pictures I was working on for my book. I made it dark as possible in a room with a white wall and shined a flashlight on my guitar and it made really cool reflections on the wall. I bet all kinds of glass and stuff would be cool. Eh, just an idea.
Very cool set of pictures, I love the colors of the water. The only one I see that isn't working is second one merely because it isn't apparent that this photo is about a reflection. Otherwise, I really like the picture, I just think the third one is similar and accomplished the goal.
Are you doing a traditional book or something else? The pictures are really beautiful...the water here is so beautiful and the reflections you have caught are really nice as well. I think the 4th one is the strongest because of the contrast from the shadow that is cast and the blue-green water.
After looking at these, I would tend to agree that the contrast of the shadow with the luminence of the water is the strongest image. I love the visual texture of the bottom image. Curious also about if you are doing a book or not.
I like the way these pictures mesh so smoothly with your background and create a calm feeling for the viewer. The first photo is great for the texture of water I just feel like the presence of the buildings kind of prevents me from being completely entranced. The other pictures are really good too especially the reflections of just the legs of the pier because it leaves the mystery of what is reflecting on the ocean. (and in that specific picture the water looks deep so it's interesting there's a mysterious shadow possibly in the middle of the ocean)
